DOE Job Description We seek an Electrical Project Engineer to support industrial projects for our municipality customers. This is a hands-on, Junior-level support role for someone who wants real exposure to industrial electrical construction. You will work directly with senior estimators and project managers and be involved in active jobs. This role is administrative + technical coordination. You will help keep projects moving, with the goal of growing into a full Project Manager position over time. What You Will Do Assist senior PMs with daily project coordination Process and track submittals, RFIs, and shop drawings Review shop drawings for completeness before submission Maintain organized project documentation Support material procurement and vendor coordination Track equipment deliveries and lead times Coordinate with utilities and power companies on service requirements Communicate with GCs, owners, inspectors, and field supervisors Support change order documentation and job cost tracking Assist with scheduling updates and progress reporting What We're Looking For 2-5 years of experience in electrical construction, engineering, or project support Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or related field preferred Ability to read electrical drawings and one-line diagrams Strong organizational and documentation skills Comfortable communicating with utilities, vendors, and field personnel Proficient in Excel, Bluebeam, and standard project documentation tools Self-starter who can manage multiple tasks without constant supervision Experience interacting with Municipalities is a big plus The Right Candidate Detail-oriented and organized Comfortable working in an industrial environment Wants to grow into a Project Manager role Not afraid to pick up the phone and coordinate issues Understands that construction deadlines matter
