Job Description:

O&S Associates is seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer with 5 years or more experience to join our team. The position is for a senior electrical engineer to oversee and mentor electrical engineering staff throughout the project process. The role will involves working closely with our electrical team to conduct inspections, including on-site electrical safety evaluations, Structural Integrity Reserve Study (SIRS) inspections, and Full Reserve Study inspections. The Electrical Engineer will also be responsible for generating reports and designing engineering documents to identify and correct potentially unsafe electrical conditions.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering. Licensed PE a plus. Excellent Communication & Technical Writing Skills. Strong AutoCAD and REVIT skills. Familiarity with Mechanical, Plumbing and Fire Protection Systems. Previous experience in electrical engineering design and inspections. Knowledge of Florida codes and regulations, especially in building safety and recertification. Strong attention to detail and ability to produce comprehensive reports.

Responsibilities:

Conduct on-site electrical safety inspections for various properties across Florida, including but not limited to Miami-Dade County, Broward County, Boca Raton, and Highland Beach. Conduct SIRS (Structural Integrity Reserve Study) inspections and reports. Lead Full Reserve Study inspections and reporting, focusing on the Electrical systems, while assisting with Mechanical and Plumbing systems. Develop electrical engineering documents to identify and correct potentially unsafe electrical conditions. Understand the requirements and process of completing the Safety Recertification Inspections for the various municipalities. Ensure compliance with all local building codes and regulations for inspections and reports. Complete All Phases of Design from Schematics through Construction Administration. Meet with Clients to Develop Scope. Survey of Existing Building Conditions. Develop project specifications. Coordination Between Architectural and Engineering Disciplines. Construction Administration including review of submittals, shop drawings, RFI's, & change orders.
