Job Description

Overview We are seeking a dynamic and highly skilled Chief Engineer to lead our engineering operations and ensure the seamless functioning of our facilities. This pivotal role demands a proactive leader with extensive expertise in industrial maintenance, facilities management, and technical systems. As Chief Engineer, you will oversee maintenance strategies, manage engineering teams, and drive continuous improvement initiatives to uphold safety, efficiency, and operational excellence across all manufacturing and facility processes. Your leadership will be instrumental in maintaining high standards of mechanical, electrical, and HVAC systems while fostering a culture of innovation and teamwork. Responsibilities Lead and supervise the maintenance department, ensuring all equipment and facilities operate reliably and efficiently. Develop and implement preventive and predictive maintenance programs utilizing CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) tools to optimize asset performance. Oversee the management of electrical systems, including high voltage and low voltage installations, ensuring compliance with safety standards and technical specifications. Manage projects related to facilities upgrades, machinery installation, or system improvements from planning through execution. Supervise technicians and engineers in troubleshooting complex mechanical, electrical, and industrial issues using schematics, ohmmeters, and other diagnostic tools. Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure manufacturing processes are supported by robust maintenance practices. Maintain detailed documentation of maintenance activities, system schematics, safety procedures, and compliance records. Foster a safety-first environment by enforcing protocols related to high voltage work, electrical safety, and industrial maintenance standards. Lead efforts in facilities management including HVAC systems, mechanical infrastructure, and overall building operations to ensure optimal environmental conditions. Drive leadership development within the team by providing training on programmable logic controllers (PLCs), schematics interpretation, and maintenance management best practices. Experience Proven management experience leading large engineering or maintenance teams within manufacturing or industrial settings. Extensive hands-on experience with programmable logic controllers (PLCs), schematics reading, electrical troubleshooting using ohmmeters, and industrial control systems. Strong background in facilities management including HVAC systems, mechanical infrastructure, low voltage electrical systems, and high voltage safety procedures. Demonstrated success in overseeing maintenance management programs utilizing CMMS platforms for scheduling, work order tracking, and asset lifecycle management. Familiarity with project management principles for executing facility upgrades or machinery installations on time and within scope. Knowledge of manufacturing processes coupled with mechanical knowledge to support continuous operational improvements. Excellent leadership skills with a track record of supervising technical teams while fostering collaboration and safety awareness in high-stakes environments. Proficiency in English communication skills for effective team coordination, reporting, and stakeholder engagement.
