Job Description

A leading industrial systems engineering organization is seeking an Electrical Design Engineer to support the design and development of industrial control systems for bulk material handling applications. The role involves working across multidisciplinary teams to deliver robust, compliant, and cost-effective electrical solutions for complex industrial equipment and process systems. Benefits Competitive salary based on experience Health, dental, and vision insurance Retirement savings plan with company match Paid time off and holidays Training and professional development opportunities Employee assistance program Key Responsibilities Lead electrical design activities from concept through completion, ensuring compliance with industry standards and client requirements Develop and maintain Process & Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs) Design and produce detailed electrical drawing packages using EPLAN (schematics, layouts, instrument diagrams, BOMs, enclosure designs) Select electrical components including motors, drives, controllers, and sensors based on performance and cost criteria Collaborate with mechanical engineers, project managers, vendors, and clients throughout project execution Support procurement by reviewing technical specifications and vendor documentation Participate in design reviews, project meetings, and occasional site visits Provide technical support and mentorship to junior engineers Stay current with electrical engineering standards, technologies, and best practices Requirements Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Automation Engineering, or related discipline 5+ years of experience in industrial electrical design or controls engineering Strong proficiency in EPLAN Solid understanding of industrial electrical systems, including MCC design Knowledge of relevant standards and codes (NEC, IEEE, IEC, NFPA, UL) Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously Strong communication and collaboration skills Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. (no sponsorship available) Preferred Experience in bulk material handling or industrial automation environments Exposure to industrial controls programming (not required) Experience working with cross-functional engineering teams on large-scale projects International or domestic project travel experience (~10%)
Pay:
$80,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
