Pay:
$39.00-$45.00/hour We are seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer for a contract-to-hire opportunity supporting the design and development of advanced military avionics and aerospace systems. This role is ideal for engineers with expertise in electrical system design, power distribution, avionics integration, and defense industry applications. Key Responsibilities Design and develop AC/DC power distribution, grounding, I/O distribution, networking, and avionics electrical systems. Create electrical schematics, wire lists, cable drawings, system diagrams, and installation packages. Integrate avionics and equipment using MIL-STD-1553, ARINC-429, Ethernet, and other communication protocols. Collaborate with Systems, Mechanical, Manufacturing, and CAD teams to deliver reliable, manufacturable designs. Support hardware selection and work closely with vendors and suppliers on technical solutions. Participate in customer requirement reviews, design reviews, and acceptance testing activities. Provide engineering support during manufacturing and production, including design updates and engineering change documentation. Mentor junior engineers and contribute to technical problem-solving efforts. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field, or equivalent aerospace/aircraft experience. 3-7 years of experience (Mid-Level) or 7+ years (Senior Level) in electrical design engineering. Experience with avionics systems, military applications, or aerospace products preferred. Knowledge of power distribution, networking, grounding, and electrical test processes. Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics. Experience with AutoCAD and Microsoft Office applications is preferred. Strong communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills. Future security clearance eligibility may be required.
