Job Description

Controls EngineerWe are looking for a Controls Engineer to join our team in Alpharetta, GA. This role is ideal for someone with a solid background in industrial automation, electrical controls, and production equipment who thrives in a technically challenging, fast-moving environment.

The Controls Engineer will support project execution by contributing technical expertise, solving complex automation issues, and working closely with customers and internal teams to deliver high-quality control system solutions. The successful candidate will be organized, responsive, and comfortable balancing multiple priorities while maintaining a strong focus on results.

What You'll BringPractical experience in electrical design and the ability to read, interpret, and troubleshoot electrical schematics and control system drawings in line with NFPA and ISO standardsStrong working knowledge of Microsoft-based business software and engineering toolsExperience collaborating with customers and project teams while managing timelines, scope limitations, and deadlinesAbility to perform effectively in demanding project environmentsStrong written and verbal communication skillsConfidence working both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team to solve technical challengesWillingness to travel across North America and internationally up to 20%Required BackgroundBachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electromechanical Engineering, or a similar field5+ years of experience with industrial controls platforms in the automation industry, specifically with production equipmentExperience with machine safety systems, including safety PLCs, safety components, and fail-safe circuit designStrong PLC programming experience with Rockwell and Siemens platformsHMI experience with Rockwell and Siemens required; Omron and Beckhoff experience preferredIndustrial robotics programming and teach experience preferredMachine vision experience with platforms such as Cognex and Keyence preferredLocationThis position is based in Alpharetta, GA, with travel throughout the North American region as project needs require.
