Electrical Engineer (PE)•Building Systems / MEP Atlanta, GA | Full-Time | Hybrid A growing MEP engineering group is seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer (PE) to lead building‑systems design across commercial, industrial, institutional, and mission‑critical projects. This role offers the opportunity to take technical ownership, interface directly with clients, and mentor junior engineers within a collaborative team environment. What You'll Do Lead the design of electrical systems including power distribution, lighting, grounding, and emergency/standby power Develop construction drawings, specifications, one‑line diagrams, load calculations, panel schedules, and coordination documents Oversee low‑voltage, fire alarm, and special systems design Coordinate with mechanical, architectural, and structural disciplines throughout all project phases Attend client meetings, site visits, and support construction‑phase activities Review shop drawings, respond to RFIs, and verify field conditions Ensure compliance with NEC, NFPA, IBC, energy codes, and applicable standards Mentor junior electrical engineers and designers What We're Looking For Professional Engineer (PE) required 4+ years of electrical engineering experience in building systems Strong proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD Experience with commercial, industrial, institutional, or mission‑critical project types Strong understanding of power systems, lighting design, grounding, fault/arc‑flash studies (preferred), and system coordination Excellent communication skills and ability to interface directly with clients Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field Why This Opportunity Stands Out Work on diverse, high‑impact building projects Collaborative culture with strong engineering standards Opportunities for leadership, technical growth, and project ownership Stable workload and long‑term career growth potential Get job alerts Share Copied to clipboard Related roles Senior Power Systems Engineer-Data Centers
