Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and experienced working Chief Engineer to lead our facilities and maintenance operations with energy and precision. In this pivotal role, you will oversee the management of all engineering functions, ensuring optimal performance, safety, and efficiency across manufacturing or industrial environments. Your leadership will drive continuous improvement initiatives, coordinate complex projects, and maintain high standards for mechanical, electrical, and systems integrity. Responsibilities Lead and supervise the maintenance team, fostering a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement. Develop and implement maintenance strategies utilizing CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) to track work orders, asset history, and preventive maintenance schedules. Oversee the installation, troubleshooting, and repair of electrical systems including high voltage and low voltage equipment, schematics interpretation, and industrial controls such as programmable logic controllers (PLCs). Manage facilities operations including HVAC systems, mechanical equipment, and overall building infrastructure to ensure optimal working conditions. Coordinate large-scale projects from planning through execution while adhering to safety standards, budget constraints, and timelines. Conduct regular inspections using tools such as ohmmeters to diagnose electrical issues; review schematics for system troubleshooting and upgrades. Ensure compliance with industry regulations related to electrical safety, industrial maintenance standards, and environmental policies. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve manufacturing processes, optimize equipment uptime, and implement innovative solutions. Skills Proven management experience leading engineering or maintenance teams within manufacturing or industrial settings. Extensive knowledge of mechanical systems, electrical circuits (including high voltage and low voltage), schematics reading, and industrial controls like PLCs. Strong facilities management expertise covering HVAC systems, building infrastructure, and safety protocols. Proficiency in using CMMS software for maintenance planning and asset management. Skilled in project management with the ability to coordinate multiple initiatives simultaneously while maintaining quality standards. Excellent supervisory skills with a focus on leadership development and team motivation. Technical proficiency with tools such as ohmmeters for electrical diagnostics; understanding of schematics is essential. Fluency in English with effective communication skills across diverse teams; ability to prepare detailed reports and documentation.
