You support our team as Project Engineer Responsibilities Deliver maintenance and engineering support for the Macon facility to ensure optimal operational performance. Lead the installation, commissioning, and startup of new equipment, while maintaining and optimizing ongoing machine performance. Ensure strict adherence to Freudenberg safety standards and OSHA regulations, including consistent use of required PPE, to maintain a safe work environment and prevent workplace injuries. Provide leadership and guidance to site mechanics, electricians, and control technicians to drive team performance and accountability. Drive innovation by contributing to the design, development, and continuous improvement of equipment and processes aligned with business objectives. Apply and enhance expertise in engineering principles, scientific analysis, and project management to support operational excellence and leadership development. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering (with electrical focus) or Electrical Engineering. Hands-on experience with Siemens PLCs (programming, troubleshooting, maintenance). Knowledge of automation and industrial control systems. Project management experience, including CAPEX, energy monitoring, and sustainability initiatives. Manufacturing experience required. Nonwovens or related industry experience preferred.
