Electrical Engineer SR#26-10748 Rincon, GA All On-site Job Description The Senior Electrical Engineer position requires 10 years of related experience and an accredited bachelor's degree in electrical engineering. This role supports engineering activities at a power-generating plant by providing plant technical support and developing long-term plans and budgets to maintain and improve equipment performance. Power Generation Engineers manage capital and O&M projects, follow prescribed procedures, and conduct analyses to develop design options and recommendations for plant structures, systems, and components. This position provides technical direction and troubleshooting support for plant electrical and mechanical systems. The incumbent conducts ongoing inspections and evaluations of equipment and recommends design and performance improvements, upgrades, and other modifications as appropriate. This individual serves as a troubleshooting resource for operations and maintenance and must communicate effectively across groups and disciplines to ensure maximum effectiveness. The role requires strong problem-solving, analytical, and interpersonal communication skills, as well as the ability to make independent decisions with appropriate consultation with management. Required skillsets and expertise include a strong understanding of engineering principles; experience implementing projects and providing technical direction; the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously; and the ability to build effective relationships with plant staff, engineering teams, and vendors. The work environment is a combination of office and field work which will require walking, climbing, and bending. The work environment can be cold in the Winter and hot in the Summer.
