Long-Term Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Electrical Design Engineer to lead the design, implementation, and support of industrial power distribution and automation systems for manufacturing and industrial facilities. This role combines electrical engineering expertise, controls/automation experience, and project leadership to deliver high-quality projects from concept through commissioning. Required Qualifications Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering (BSEE) from an ABET-accredited university or equivalent experience 5+ years of experience designing and implementing industrial power distribution systems for manufacturing or industrial facilities Hands-on experience with PLC programming, HMI development, and industrial control hardware Strong knowledge of NEC, IEEE, NFPA, and UL standards related to industrial power systems Proficiency with Auto
CAD, PLC/HMI
programming software, and related engineering tools Strong project management and organizational skills Excellent communication, leadership, and team collaboration abilities Willingness to obtain a Professional Engineer (PE) license Ability to pass a drug test and background check Preferred Qualifications EIT and/or PE license Arc Flash Risk Analysis experience Experience with electrical engineering and design for both buildings and industrial automation systems Experience with SCADA systems and robotics integration Responsibilities Design and develop electrical engineering and industrial control systems for automation, robotics, and manufacturing projects Collaborate with clients, architects, engineers, and stakeholders to define project requirements and objectives Perform load calculations, voltage drop analysis, short circuit studies, and energy compliance analysis Develop and implement PLC, HMI, and SCADA applications Create and review electrical drawings, schematics, specifications, and as-built documentation Develop project budgets, bids, and cost estimates for labor, materials, and construction Lead project teams of engineers and technicians throughout all phases of project execution Develop project plans, schedules, budgets, and deliverables in coordination with project managers Monitor project progress and resolve technical and operational issues to ensure successful project completion Conduct testing, troubleshooting, commissioning, and ongoing support of control systems Ensure compliance with safety regulations, electrical codes, and environmental standards Mentor junior engineers and support continuous improvement initiatives Maintain accurate project documentation and prepare status reports for clients and leadership #GRPA Equal Opportunity Employer/Veterans/Disabled Benefit offerings include medical, dental, vision, term life insurance, short-term disability insurance, additional voluntary benefits, commuter benefits and 401K plan.
