Title:
Staff Engineer, Power Cylinder - 120628
Onsite/Remote:
Onsite Position As a Staff Engineer, Power Cylinder for JD Power Systems located in Waterloo, IA, you will: Provide technical leadership for the power cylinder module across the product lifecycle, including ADP, TDP, PDP, and continuous improvement. Define and maintain power cylinder requirements, including cross-module integration and tradeoffs Manage system level risks and lead problem resolution of power cylinder-related issues Drive on-time execution and delivery of power cylinder components to support program timing Lead technology development activities within power cylinder. Identify requirements and technology gaps, scope and execute projects Build module technical capabilities. Maintain knowledge of industry trends, support development of verification methods to improve efficiency and reduce R D Provide mentorship for others within the team Maintain relationships with power cylinder stakeholders, including key suppliers 8 or more years of experience in heavy-duty off-road engine design, development, and/or PV&V Experience in engine power cylinder design, development, and/or PV&V Demonstrated ability to lead teams and mentor others Strong communication skills Ability to travel up to 25% based on business needs Experience leading power cylinder design, development, verification, and/or problem resolution Ideally you will have a degree or equivalent related work experience in the following: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Agricultural Engineering, Electrical Engineering or other related engineering disciplines
