Job Description

6+ Month Contract M-F Onsite Job Summary We are seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to join our Boise, Idaho team supporting cutting-edge semiconductor, laboratory, and advanced industrial facility projects. This role provides technical leadership for the design and execution of complex electrical systems while working closely with clients, contractors, and multidisciplinary engineering teams. The ideal candidate will bring extensive experience in building electrical systems design, strong knowledge of applicable electrical codes and standards, and a passion for delivering high-quality engineering solutions in fast-paced project environments. Responsibilities Lead electrical engineering and design efforts for facility power distribution, grounding, lighting, and low-voltage communication systems. Develop electrical system designs, calculations, specifications, and construction documents. Perform and review voltage drop, arc flash, short-circuit, and load flow calculations. Prepare technical specifications and bid/construction packages. Serve as the Electrical Discipline Lead and perform quality control reviews of design deliverables. Provide technical leadership and mentorship to electrical designers and junior engineers. Review equipment specifications, vendor submittals, and shop drawings. Collaborate with owners, contractors, architects, and multidisciplinary engineering teams throughout project execution. Support construction activities, including field coordination, site visits, punch walks, and issue resolution. Participate in proposal development and provide innovative solutions to client challenges. Ensure designs comply with applicable codes, standards, and project requirements. Required Qualifications Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering or Renewable Energy Engineering from an accredited university. Current Professional Engineer (PE) license with the ability to obtain licensure in the State of Idaho. Minimum of 12 years of experience designing building electrical systems. Strong working knowledge of NEC (NFPA 70).
Experience performing:
Voltage Drop Calculations, Arc Flash Studies, Short Circuit Analysis, Load Flow Analysis Experience developing electrical equipment specifications and reviewing vendor submittals. Experience supporting construction activities and performing field coordination. Ability to perform site inspections and punch-list walks in active construction environments. Strong communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills. Preferred Qualifications Experience supporting semiconductor manufacturing facilities, cleanrooms, mission-critical facilities, or data centers. Working knowledge of Revit and BIM software. Experience leading multidisciplinary project teams. Strong client-facing experience and ability to build relationships with stakeholders. Demonstrated ability to work effectively in fast-paced engineering and construction environments.
