Entry-Level Electrical Engineer Job Description:
Henneman Engineering Inc.-Industrial Technology Group (ITG) provides comprehensive engineering solutions and consulting services to a broad base of clients. The staff of professionals at Henneman-ITG specialize in electrical, mechanical, chemical, process, controls, plumbing, and structural engineering. Henneman provides design services to the State of Illinois, municipalities, higher education, K-12 school districts, and federal government. ITGs industrial clients include heavy manufacturing, food production, chemical processing, consumer products, energy, and renewable energy. Henneman-ITG currently has an opportunity for an entry-level electrical engineer for our Champaign, Illinois office, in person. Primary Responsibilities of the
Electrical Engineer:
Exercise judgment in the independent evaluation, selection, and substantial adaptation and modification of standard techniques, procedures, and criteria. Conceptualize the initial electrical design approach for all project types and has overall responsibility for the electrical engineering work. Knowledgeable in consulting and construction practices to include plan/specifications, design/build, and construction manager roles and responsibilities. Supervise the design and ongoing progress of a project, including the coordination of the project with city, state, and county officials and other outside agencies. Resolve a variety of complex problems (i.e., conflicting design requirements, unsuitability of conventional materials, difficult coordination requirements). Serve as liaison between clients and agencies, subcontractors, and design teams. Organize and prepare all electrical construction drawings (single-line diagrams, layouts, sections, elevations, and details as appropriate), technical specifications, contract documents, and estimates. Also participate in contract bidding/administration and on-site project management. Conduct electrical systems analysis, such as arc flash, short circuit, and coordination studies utilizing power system analysis software. Understand power system protection and relaying schemes for electrical distribution systems. Will be required to perform other duties as assigned.

Electrical Engineer:
Education:
4-Year Electrical Engineering degree required.
Experience:
Entry level. However, Henneman Engineering is open to considering a diverse range of experience and skill levels. Experience with AutoCAD and
SKM/ETAP
(or other power systems analysis software) is preferred. Benefits/Perks for the

Salary commensurate with skills and experience. \$58,000-\$70,000 Benefits typical of industry including paid holidays, vacation, health insurance, disability and life insurance, dental insurance, vision insurance, and 401K program.
