Schedule :
Monday-Friday 7am to 3:30pm Electrical Control Engineer - Vibratory Feeder Systems Company Overview Moorfeed Corporation is a leading manufacturer of vibratory feeder systems, specializing in innovative solutions for material handling and automation across various industries. Our commitment to quality and cutting-edge technology drives our mission to deliver reliable and efficient vibratory feeder solutions. Job Summary We are seeking a skilled Electrical Control Engineer to design, develop, and maintain control systems for our vibratory feeder products. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating robust electrical control solutions, ensuring seamless integration with automation systems, and supporting the production and testing of vibratory feeder equipment.
Key Responsibilities Design and Development:
Design electrical control systems, including PLC programming, HMI development, and control panel layouts for vibratory feeder systems.
System Integration:
Integrate control systems with vibratory feeders, ensuring compatibility with customer automation systems and industry standards.
Troubleshooting and Maintenance:
Diagnose and resolve electrical and control system issues during production, testing, and field operations.
Programming:
Develop and optimize PLC code (e.g., Allen-Bradley, Siemens) and HMI interfaces for precise control of feeder operations.
Testing and Validation:
Conduct system testing, including functional and performance tests, to ensure reliability and compliance with specifications.
Documentation:
Create detailed schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical documentation for control systems and user manuals.
Collaboration:
Work closely with mechanical engineers, production teams, and customers to ensure system performance meets project requirements.
Compliance:
Ensure all designs and systems comply with relevant industry standards (e.g., UL, CE, NEC) and safety regulations.
Continuous Improvement:
Identify opportunities for improving control system efficiency, reliability, and cost-effectiveness.
Qualifications Education:
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Control Systems Engineering, or a related field.
Experience:
3+ years of experience in electrical control system design, preferably in automation or material handling industries. Experience with vibratory feeder systems or similar equipment is a plus.
Technical Skills:
Proficiency in PLC programming (e.g., Allen-Bradley, Siemens, Mitsubishi). Experience with HMI development (e.g., FactoryTalk, Wonderware). Knowledge of electrical design software (e.g., AutoCAD Electrical, EPLAN). Familiarity with motor controls, VFDs, and sensor integration. Understanding of industrial communication protocols (e.g., Modbus, Ethernet/IP).
Soft Skills:
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills. Excellent communication and teamwork abilities. Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines. Working Conditions Full-time position with occasional travel to customer sites for installation, commissioning, or troubleshooting. Work primarily in an office and production environment, with occasional exposure to manufacturing floor conditions.
