Must-Haves:
Bachelor's degree in engineering (EE/EET or ME/MET preferred) Strong problem-solving and root cause analysis experience Experience with measurement/analysis tools (SEM, FTIR, electrical test equipment, metrology) Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint) and analytical tools Willingness to travel internationally (Japan training for 2-4 months as needed)
Plusses:
Prior automotive industry experience Experience working in a Japanese or global manufacturing environment Familiarity with EV components (power modules, IPM, inverters) Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes
Day-to-Day:
Analyze and troubleshoot EV component rejects, including power modules and inverters Perform root cause analysis using specialized testing and measurement equipment Document findings and develop technical reports and presentations Partner with cross-functional teams to enhance production processes Support corrective actions and continuous improvement initiatives across mechanical and electrical systems Assist in reintroducing analyzed or repaired units back into production
Job Description:
Insight Global is seeking an xEV Analysis Engineer for a leading automotive technology client. This individual will be responsible for troubleshooting and identifying root causes of issues within electric vehicle components in a production environment. The role involves hands-on testing, utilizing advanced measurement equipment, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to resolve issues and implement corrective actions. The ideal candidate is analytical, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in both office and manufacturing settings, while supporting continuous improvement and quality initiatives in a fast-paced EV environment.
Compensation:
Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.
