Job Description

Electrical Engineer A respected and growing MEP consulting engineering firm is seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to join its team in a project leadership capacity. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated engineer who enjoys leading projects, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, and contributing to technically challenging commercial and healthcare facility designs. The ideal candidate will have strong experience designing electrical systems for commercial construction projects and the ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced consulting environment. This role offers a balanced mix of technical engineering, client interaction, project coordination, and leadership responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage multiple electrical engineering projects from design through construction administration Serve as a primary point of contact for clients, consultants, and project stakeholders Coordinate design requirements with internal MEP teams and external project partners Collaborate with utility providers and assist with service coordination requirements Perform code analysis and ensure compliance with NEC, IBC, and applicable building standards Support project budgeting, scheduling, progress reporting, and invoice review processes Conduct quality control and peer reviews of project deliverables Develop one-line diagrams, electrical load calculations, service sizing, and design narratives Prepare and edit construction specifications and technical documentation Perform power, lighting, and lighting control design for commercial and institutional projects Support construction administration efforts including submittal reviews, RFIs, site observations, and punch list activities
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Architectural Engineering 5+ years of experience in electrical systems design for commercial construction projects Strong understanding of NEC, IBC, and sustainable/LEED-focused design standards Excellent written and verbal communication skills Experience managing multiple projects within a consulting engineering environment preferred Proficiency with AutoCAD and/or Revit preferred Healthcare electrical design experience is highly desirable PE license preferred or willingness to pursue licensure Familiarity with MasterSpec CSI formats, SKM, and AGI software is a plus FE Exam completion and
LEED AP BD+C
credentials are advantageous

ATIND Pay:
$100,000.00 - $139,000.00 per year
