Job Description

Your Job DEPCOM Power, a Koch Engineered Solutions company, is looking for an Electrical Field Engineer to support construction activities at the Tymochtee and Springwater utility-scale solar sites. This role is ideal for an engineer with a strong electrical background who enjoys working in a fastpaced field environment and supporting complex electrical and highvoltage (HV) systems during construction. This position requires 95% travel as an on-site Field Engineer supporting construction of 10-300MW utility-scale solar PV plants and includes per diem and monthly home trips. The candidate can live anywhere but must be able to travel to project sites as needed. This position is not eligible for VISA sponsorship. BESS EPC
projects. This role provides superior value to our customers by orchestrating seamless field operations. This is achieved through strong communication, collaboration, and responsible, creative problem-solving, ensuring projects are constructed on time and in compliance with design, laws, codes, and requirements. What You Will Do Support on-site construction activities with a focus on electrical and high-voltage systems, including collection systems, substations, and interconnection-related infrastructure Coordinate inspections and facilitate discussions with local, county, and state Authorities Having Jurisdiction (AHJs), particularly for electrical and HV components Create and conduct First Article Inspections (FAIs) to verify electrical installations are constructed to design specifications and standards Document and maintain construction and engineering drawings, including red-line sets for electrical and HV scopes Compose and manage Requests for Information (RFIs) between construction teams, engineers, vendors, and long-term project owners Review electrical construction material submittals and verify compliance with project specifications Hold subcontractors and self-perform teams accountable to their scopes of work, with emphasis on electrical quality and safety Assist in preparation of electrical specifications, data sheets, and other pre-construction planning deliverables Proactively manage project constraints through collaboration with project management, engineering, and construction personnel Maintain stormwater documentation logs and coordinate remediation as needed Operate drones to capture construction progress, quality issues, and field conditions Who You Are (Basic Qualifications) Professional electrical experience in an industrial, utility-scale, or power generation environment Experience supporting field construction activities under schedule-driven deadlines Experience creating reports, tracking issues, and compiling field data •Experience working effectively in a collaborative, team-based environment What Will Put You Ahead Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering Experience with high-voltage (HV) electrical systems, including substations, collection systems, and grid interconnection infrastructure Experience supporting electrical scopes on utility-scale solar projects Previous experience in a Field Engineering, Project Engineering, or Construction Management role within Renewables or Oil & Energy Familiarity with electrical codes, standards, and inspection requirements applicable to large-scale power projects Experience operating drones or possession of an Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UAS) license Experience in a leadership role or acting as an on-site electrical point of contact Experience communicating in multi-lingual environments For this role, we anticipate paying $80,000 - $110,000 per year. This role is eligible for variable pay, issued as a monetary bonus or in another form. At Koch companies, we are entrepreneurs.
