Position Summary
Electrical (Instrument - Senior Engineer) will be based at the project site and will oversee installation, testing, and commissioning of instrumentation and control systems. The role covers field instruments, control valves, junction boxes, marshalling cabinets, cabling, terminations, impulse tubing, and integration with DCS/PLC systems. Responsibilities include supervising site installation, validating compliance with drawings and datasheets, resolving field issues, coordinating loop checks, performing functional testing, and supporting as‑built documentation and system handover.
Responsibilities
The position requires close coordination with process, mechanical, piping, electrical, and automation teams to ensure proper routing, segregation, hazardous‑area compliance, and smooth interface with equipment and control systems. Day‑to‑day activities include reviewing drawings and submittals, raising technical queries, monitoring progress, and ensuring safe, compliant execution according to project standards.
Qualifications
Candidate should have strong site experience in instrumentation works with solid knowledge of transmitters, analyzers, control valves, field panels, and DCS/PLC systems. Proficiency in reading P&IDs, loop diagrams, wiring drawings, hook‑ups, and cable schedules is essential. Familiarity with AutoCAD, Navisworks, and basic DCS/PLC configuration is preferred for reviewing and coordinating installations.
A good understanding of system interfaces with process equipment, piping, electrical power, and automation is important. The role requires strong troubleshooting ability, clear technical communication, and confidence in making on‑site decisions while ensuring compliance with U.S. codes, NEC/NFPA requirements, and project specifications. ground in the Iron & Steel sector, with involvement in Direct Reduced Iron (DRI) plant construction activities will be an added preference.
Education Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering (B.S.E.E. or B.Tech).
