This position will work closely with engineers, designers, vendors, and customers to develop safe and reliable electrical systems. Responsibilities Develop electrical power generation, distribution, protection, and control systems Prepare electrical construction drawings and design documents Create equipment location plans, wiring diagrams, schematics, cable schedules, cable tray layouts, lighting plans, and equipment support details Perform electrical system studies and develop technical reports Assist with feasibility studies, equipment selection, specifications, and procurement Coordinate with engineers, designers, vendors, and other project team members Review project requirements and support electrical designs from concept through construction Follow applicable electrical codes, engineering standards, and workplace safety requirements Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from an ABET-accredited university 1 to 20 years of electrical engineering experience Experience designing electrical systems for industrial plants, manufacturing facilities, mines, power generation facilities, or similar environments Knowledge of NEC, ANSI, and IEEE standards Experience with AutoCAD, Microsoft Office, and Microsoft Teams Ability to review technical data and perform engineering analysis Strong written and verbal communication skills Ability to work independently and as part of a project team Strong awareness of workplace and electrical safety requirements Preferred Experience Experience with ETAP, SKM, PLS-CADD, EMTP, AmpCalc, ATP, or similar electrical analysis software Overhead power line design experience Power generation system design experience Mining facility electrical design experience
