Responsibilities Design, develop, and test electrical and mechanical systems using CAD tools such as AutoCAD, Revit, MicroStation, and SolidWorks. Create detailed schematics, PCB layouts, and system diagrams to support product development. Utilize FPGA programming and SystemVerilog for hardware design and implementation. Conduct root cause analysis to troubleshoot system issues, ensuring optimal performance and reliability. Perform soldering, surface mount technology assembly, and firmware debugging on electronic components. Collaborate on project scheduling to meet deadlines while maintaining high-quality standards. Apply signal processing techniques and vision inspection systems for quality assurance. Use scripting languages like Python, Perl, and MATLAB for automation, data analysis, and system simulation. Support manufacturing processes by understanding NEC standards, surface mount technology, and programmable logic controllers. Engage in mechanical design tasks using Revit, Mechanical Engineering principles, and CAD software such as SolidWorks or MicroStation. Conduct testing with Ohmmeters, oscilloscopes, and other electrical measurement tools to validate system performance. Assist in the development of firmware for embedded systems based on ARM architecture or Arduino platforms. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related STEM field; advanced degrees or
OPT/STEM
extension experience preferred. Proven experience with FPGA development, SystemVerilog coding, PCB design, and circuit schematics. Strong knowledge of electrical systems including signal processing, firmware development, and debugging techniques. Mechanical knowledge with proficiency in Revit, MicroStation, SolidWorks or similar CAD software for system design. Familiarity with manufacturing standards such as NEC regulations and surface mount technology assembly processes. Hands-on experience with soldering (including surface mount), vision inspection systems, Ohmmeters, and firmware debugging tools. Programming skills in Python, C++, MATLAB, Perl or scripting languages for automation and data analysis. Ability to perform root cause analysis efficiently while maintaining meticulous documentation of findings. Excellent project scheduling skills to manage multiple tasks effectively within deadlines. Strong mechanical aptitude combined with electrical engineering expertise to support integrated system development.
