Job Description

A leading medical technology company is hiring a full-time Lead Electrical Engineer to support new product development within a growing surgical device R D organization. This role focuses on the design, development, testing, and integration of advanced electrical and electronic systems for both capital equipment and disposable medical products. The position offers the opportunity to work on cutting-edge medical device technologies involving PCB design, embedded systems, analog/digital circuitry, power electronics, sensor integration, and hardware validation in a highly regulated development environment. This is an excellent opportunity for a senior-level engineer who enjoys combining hands-on technical work with technical leadership and mentorship. The company is looking for someone who can drive electrical architecture decisions, lead complex hardware development efforts, and collaborate cross-functionally with quality, regulatory, manufacturing, and software engineering teams throughout the product lifecycle. You'll help shape next-generation surgical technologies while contributing to innovation, reliability, compliance, and improved patient outcomes in a highly impactful industry. Required Skills & Experience Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering 8+ years of experience in electrical engineering and new product development Experience within medical device or highly regulated product development environments Strong experience with PCB design, analog/digital circuit design, and electronic system architecture Experience with schematic capture and PCB development tools such as Altium Experience troubleshooting PCBs and electrical subsystems Strong knowledge of embedded systems, microcontrollers, and hardware/software integration Experience with electrical test equipment including oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, LCR meters, and power supplies Knowledge of
PCB/PCBA
manufacturing processes and design for manufacturability Experience leading design reviews, troubleshooting efforts, and engineering collaboration Strong communication, documentation, and technical leadership skills Desired Skills & Experience Experience with FPGA and/or CPLD technologies Experience with power conversion circuits and sensor integration Knowledge of RF energy generation and control systems Familiarity with
IEC 60601
