It is not just software or coding. There will be firmware, but that is to help support the hardware. It is real electrical engineering meant to build real electronic hardware. July 9th is the current start date for this role.Job Description:
Newgrange Design is currently a forty-five person, growing business that focuses on electronic hardware design. We are looking for the next great person to join our team. The quality of our team is the key to our success. We are looking for an Electrical Engineer to join our small Engineering Group which is a smaller group working in conjunction with our larger PCB Design team. Both teams support various customers across several industries. Projects range in size and scope from simple (days) to complex (months-long). The ideal candidate is someone who has interests in learning about several areas of design and works well in cross-functional teams. It would be expected that the Electrical Engineer I will cross train in PCB Design and support this team as well.Tasks will include:
Board level design Requirements assessment and design reviews Design, simulation, and verification of mixed digital and analog circuitry Key component selection Signal integrity simulation Design and perform critical experiments and/or engineering studies Support Firmware development Bring up prototypes, conduct functional tests Assist Engineering management in overall program planning and estimating We are looking for a team player, someone who is hardworking, willing to learn, friendly, energetic and eager to be a part of a growing team. As a service bureau, we work for our customers, so strong personal skills and patience are critical to job success as well organizational skills and flexibility. The successful candidate must be able to listen attentively and speak and write clearly when describing complicated issues.Requirements/Qualifications:
BS in Electrical Engineering and related major Strong organizational skills Attention to detail is crucial in this role Fast learner, flexible, and a good problem solver Good communication skills for internal and external interaction Ability to speak and write clearly when describing complicated issues Must be a U.S. Citizen and/or Permanent U.S. Resident Ideal Candidate will have experience in two or more of the following technical specialties: Analog design (small signal, mixed signal, high voltage, and/or power) Design of microprocessor-based systems Complex digital hardware Embedded firmware development & RTOS Electro-mechanical design Low power design Sensor design and integrationAdditional Information:
