Waltham, MA Responsibilities:

• Perform electrical design verification testing (DVT) in accordance with test plans and industry standard best measurement practices
• Author DVT reports by recording measurement results, adding measurement artifacts (e.g. oscilloscope captures), and updating test plans as required
• Collaborate with electrical engineers to debug issues to root cause and test corrective actions
• Rework PCBAs as required (e.g. soldering test leads and probes, replacing components, and implementing cuts and jumps)
• Functional check-out of prototype boards prior to building them up into higher level assemblies
• May participate in triage and debugging of larger electrical systems (e.

g. full robot or robot subsystem)

Requirements:

• BS in electrical engineering or closely related field
• At least 7 years of directly related work experience
• Strong electrical test and measurement skills, especially with respect to switching DC to DC converters, load switches, and power distribution
• Demonstrated ability to operate oscilloscopes, DMMs, power supplies, electronic load boxes, thermal cameras, data loggers, etc.
• Knowledge of electrical signal and power integrity fundamentals
• Basic familiarity with Linux to be able to run commands, move around the filesystem, etc.
• Strong PCBA rework skills including the ability to solder fine pitch components, connectors, bottom terminated components (e.g. LGAs, QFNs), and passives as small as 0201
• Ability to navigate a PCB and read electrical schematics in Altium
• Detail oriented, methodical, and creative problem solver
• Demonstrated ability to debug to root cause complex electrical issues
