Full Job Description Electrical Engineer Schedule:
Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM We are seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer for a 6+ month onsite opportunity in Westborough, MA. This role will support the design, documentation, testing, troubleshooting, and hands-on support of electrical systems used in large-scale industrial equipment, factory automation systems, laboratory processing equipment, and skid-based power storage solutions. This is a strong fit for someone with experience in electrical design, power distribution, control cabinets, AutoCAD Electrical, high-amperage three-phase power, and hands-on work with manufacturing or assembly teams. Responsibilities Design electrical systems for power and control cabinets used in industrial and automation equipment Support architecture, design, component selection, layout, testing, and debugging Create electrical schematics, block diagrams, wiring diagrams, cable drawings, wire run lists, panel layouts, and bills of material Design and debug power distribution systems for capital equipment Integrate PLCs into machine control panels Support PLC logic implementation, testing, and troubleshooting Execute Engineering Change Orders and maintain electrical system documentation Work directly with fabrication and assembly teams to support panel builds, wiring, troubleshooting, and design changes Provide hands-on floor support, including making changes on the fly and advising assembly personnel Requirements Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field, such as Physics Experience with electrical system design, system engineering, installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting Experience with AC and DC power distribution systems Experience with transformers, power circuit breakers, motor control centers, disconnects, batteries, chargers, inverters, distribution boards, or related electrical equipment Experience using AutoCAD Electrical for schematics and component layouts Familiarity with electrical codes and compliance requirements such as IEEE, NEC, UL, NFPA, CSA, FCC, CE or related standards Ability to work hands-on with production, fabrication, and assembly teams Must be able to work 100% onsite in Westborough, MA Must be a U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident due to ITAR requirements Preferred Qualifications Experience with high-amperage, three-phase power systems Experience designing power and control cabinets for factory automation or industrial equipment PLC programming or troubleshooting experience Experience with protective relaying, generator circuit breakers, GSU transformers, MCCs, HV/EHV systems, or similar power equipment Experience interfacing with compliance laboratories Interview Process Qualified candidates can expect one Teams interview.
