THIS POSITION IS CONTINGENT UPON BID AWARD
The Electrical Engineer shall provide electrical engineering support for infrastructure systems, modernization, and compliance activities supporting the Uniformed Services University Health Sciences campus.
Responsibilities:
Provide technical consultation for electrical infrastructure repair and modernization projects Develop Performance Work Statement (PWS) and Statement of Work (SOW) documents and estimates Support project meetings and serve as technical representative Review Architecture and Engineering (A/E) drawings for compliance with Unified Facilities Criteria (UFC) and National Electrical Code (NEC) Perform commissioning and system testing Support construction ensuring UFC and NEC compliance Support maintenance of power distribution systems, generators, Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS), Variable Frequency Drives (VFD), lighting and fire alarm systems Conduct power quality and load studies using Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) Provide analysis reports on system performance and capacity Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering Minimum five (5) years relevant experience Minimum five (5) years' design/consulting experience Preferred Qualifications Professional Engineer (PE) license Experience with DoD or healthcare facilities Successfully pass background and drug screening Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Knowledge of
NEC, NFPA, UFC
standards Ability to perform electrical analysis Possess strong reporting skills Possess strong communication skills
