Job Description
Description Key Responsibilities Design, build, and maintain laser systems Develop prototyping and process development opportunities, trying to get them to production. Stay current on all applicable technologies to make recommendations for future Secondary Responsibilities Develop system architecture for medical devices integrating electrical hardware and embedded software. Design and implement firmware for device control and data acquisition. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate sensors, actuators, and communication interfaces. Perform system-level testing, troubleshooting, and optimization. Ensure compliance with ISO 13485 and FDA software validation requirements. Document system requirements, design specifications, and verification protocols. DMC Additional Skills & Qualifications Required Qualifications Education:
BS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field.Experience:
3+ years in systems engineering for medical devices or similar regulated industries. Hands-on experience with embedded systems development (C/C++, Python).Skills:
PCB design and hardware integration. Familiarity with microcontrollers, real-time operating systems (RTOS), and communication protocols (UART, SPI, I2C). Knowledge ofIEC 62304
(medical device software lifecycle standard). Experience Level Intermediate Level Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Halethorpe, MD. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $55.00 - $58.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
