Job Description

Location:
This is an on-site position based in Albion, MI. You will work closely with our engineering, manufacturing, and leadership teams in a hands-on environment where your work directly supports real-world products and projects.
Note:
Candidates must be a Licensed Professional Engineer in Electrical Engineering and should have 5+ years of relevant electrical engineering experience, ideally within solar, manufacturing, industrial, automation, or product development environments. Job Description Design and review electrical systems, schematics, drawings, and layouts. Provide stamped electrical engineering drawings where required. Ensure projects and products comply with NEC, UL, local AHJ, and applicable electrical code requirements. Support product development initiatives, especially related to solar systems, mounting system integration, and balance-of-system components. Collaborate with manufacturing teams to improve electrical processes, automation, efficiency, and production support. Interface with customers, contractors, inspectors, and internal stakeholders as needed. Develop internal electrical engineering standards, documentation, and best practices. Support troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and corrective action for field or production issues. Work cross-functionally with engineering, operations, manufacturing, and leadership to solve technical challenges. Qualifications Licensed Professional Engineer in Electrical Engineering required. 5+ years of relevant electrical engineering experience. Strong knowledge of NEC, electrical codes, and compliance requirements. Experience designing and reviewing electrical systems, schematics, and layouts. Experience with CAD tools such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks Electrical, or similar platforms. Solar, inverter, balance-of-system, manufacturing, industrial, or product development experience preferred. Experience with UL certifications, product listing, automation, controls, PLCs, or sensors is a plus. Strong communication skills and ability to work in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment.
