IMEG is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to support and grow our Healthcare market in Detroit, Michigan. In this role, you will lead electrical design efforts for moderate to complex building projects, delivering engineering analysis, system design, and construction-phase support for healthcare facilities. You will collaborate with multidisciplinary design teams, manage client relationships, and help deliver innovative, code-compliant electrical solutions that align with project goals and client expectations. Principal ResponsibilitiesLead the analysis, design, and documentation of electrical systems in accordance with applicable codes and IMEG standardsPerform site assessments and develop technical analyses, calculations, and reportsCollaborate with clients to define requirements, communicate technical solutions, and build strong working relationshipsConduct design reviews and apply IMEG quality control processes to ensure technical excellence and complianceMentor and develop staff while providing technical guidance and resolving field issues as neededStay current on industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices to support innovationPrioritize safety and proactively identify and mitigate electrical system risksPartner with multidisciplinary teams to deliver integrated project solutionsSupport project interviews and presentations Required Qualifications and SkillsBachelor of Science (BS) Degree in Electrical Engineering, or equivalent, requiredProfessional Engineer (PE) License preferred7 years of experience minimum required, 8 preferred, in the building design consulting industryAdept in the technical aspects of one's discipline; advanced proficiency in technical and analytical skills including proficiency of principles of circuit theory, electromagnetism, power systems, and electronics as they relate to electrical systemsKnowledge of Illumination Engineering Society (IES) Standards and reference material resources such as NFPA Link, and Facility Guideline Institution (FGI)Preferred TechStreet, MadCAD and eSPECSAdvanced proficiency of Master Specification editing and software such as eSPECS; Proficient with Adobe or Bluebeam RevuAbility to mentor, train, motivate, and lead othersAbility to perform final quality control check in their area of expertiseAbility to sell work and develop client relationshipsExcellent communication and interpersonal skills; Ability to clearly communicate in both oral and written communication to individuals or groupsAbility to work collaboratively in a team environmentAttention to detail and problem-solving skillsProficient with MS Office Suite including but not limited to Word, Excel, Teams and OutlookAbility to travel up to 20% with occasional overnight stays This position is not eligible for sponsorship.
