Senior Electrical Engineer - Job DescriptionOverviewWe are seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to play a pivotal role in delivering high‑quality engineering design for building systems. This position combines technical expertise, project involvement, client interaction, and mentorship-ideal for an engineer who values both precision and leadership.

Represent the firm positively through interactions with clients and participation in relevant professional, business, or civic organizations.

Identify opportunities for additional services and support strategic business development initiatives.

Project InvolvementProduce engineering design elements aligned with project scope and performance expectations.

Prepare accurate and complete construction documents, drawings, and technical specifications.

Provide timely project consultation, including coordination of schedules, deadlines, site surveys, punch lists, and building code compliance.

Execute a consistent QA/QC process, including reviewing drawings throughout the project lifecycle.

Maintain and enhance standards of engineering quality, accuracy, and consistency.

Complete assignments efficiently and within required schedules.

Assist in preparing engineering proposals outlining scope, timeline, and labor budgets.

Assemble, coordinate, and monitor engineering project schedules.

Work closely with project engineers to ensure scope alignment and thorough execution.

Conduct research and development to stay current with industry trends, construction methods, materials, and evolving technologies.

Collaborate with team members to develop new methods improving efficiency, constructability, and system dependability.

Enhance quality control methods and support their adoption across teams.

Perform additional duties as assigned to support project and organizational goals.

LeadershipPromote and contribute to the development of production standards.

Act as a mentor, offering coaching, training, and support to help team members grow their technical and professional skills.

Required CompetenciesStrong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.

Deep knowledge of building materials, specifications, construction techniques, and engineered building systems.

Understanding of architecture and engineering design disciplines.

Strong knowledge of NFPA 170, National Electrical Code (NEC), and applicable healthcare codes.

Excellent attention to detail, ensuring accuracy and completeness in all work.

High adaptability and flexibility in response to changing priorities or schedules.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Skills & QualificationsEducation & ExperienceBachelor of Science in Engineering.

Licensed Professional Engineer in any U.S. jurisdiction.

NCEES certification required.5+ years of experience designing engineered building systems.

Technical KnowledgeProficiency with standard office technology.

Experience with:
