Back Electrical Serviceability Engineer#2016903 Auburn Hills, Michigan, United StatesApply X Facebook LinkedIn Email Copy Job Description The Electrical Serviceability Engineer is responsible for influencing early product designs to meet electrical service requirements across all vehicle commodities, including interior, chassis, powertrain and all electrical systems. This role involves assessing future product designs for serviceability, identifying and addressing non-compliance to serviceability requirements through design changes, and transferring applicable product knowledge to downstream stakeholders such as technical documentation authors, technical training teams, and contact center personnel. This resource will be assigned responsibility for all electrical related commodities and serve as Vehicle Lead for one or more vehicles. As Vehicle Lead, the Electrical Serviceability Engineer must facilitate assessment and reporting efforts with serviceability colleagues based on the timing of major vehicle milestones. United States Requirements Basic Requirements:
Associate Degree in Automotive Technology, Electrical Engineering, or a related fieldMinimum 5 years of automotive technical experience in electrical systems, including hands-on experience with modules, wiring and communication of electrical componentsDemonstrated technical understanding of field electrical repair techniques and industry practicesUnderstanding of process development, program management, and problem-solving techniquesStrong problem-solving, planning, and analytical skillsWorking knowledge of Microsoft Office PowerPoint, Word, Excel, or equivalent applicationsStrong organizational skillsMust be trustworthy and conduct themselves professionallyMust be willing to travel domestically (minimal travel expected)
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Automotive Technology, Electrical Engineering, or a related fieldStrong understanding of dealership service operations and technician workflow for powertrain repairsAbility to navigate CAD and interface with 3D models of electrical systems and componentsExperience interfacing with Engineering & Manufacturing personnelStrong understanding of automotive diagnostic processes, wiring diagrams, and remove/install procedures for electrical systemsASE and/or manufacturer-specific Technical certificationsComfortable presenting to all levels of managementExceptional communication, presentation, and team-building skillsExperience with manufacturing facilities or processesMulti-lingual (written & verbal)Strong innovation skills Employment Type Full-time Stellantis At Stellantis, we assess candidates based on qualifications, merit, and business needs.
