Job Description

Position SummarySupport Plant Maintenance, Engineering, and Operations in uptime of critical equipment.

Design and develop control systems and software to meet operational needs for project specifications.

Conduct system analysis to evaluate functionality and identifying areas for improvement.

Programming and configuring PLCs, SCADA, DCS, and other control interfaces to optimize performance.

Collaborating with maintenance, engineers, project managers, and clients to ensure systems integration and operability.

Testing and troubleshooting control components to ensure robustness and safety of the system.

Maintain and upgrading existing control systems to enhance efficiency and longevity.

Provide support and training to other engineers and users on how to operate the newly implemented or modified systems.

Ensure compliance with industry regulations and maintain documentation of procedures and configurations.

ResponsibilitiesThe day-to-day tasks of a Control Engineer may vary based on the specifics of the project.

Performing regular maintenance checks on control systems and affiliated machinery.

Supporting staff in recovery of or upgrade of panels, circuits, and processors for control systems.

Simulating control strategies to predict system behavior under different conditions.

Collaborating closely with maintenance and operations teams to achieve process optimization.

Documenting accurate records for future reference and regulatory compliance.

QualificationsBachelor's Degree in Engineering field required with 0-2 years of experienceKnowledge and ability to apply core concepts of engineeringAbility to apply a systematic, disciplined, and analytical approach to problem solving of basic to moderate scope and complexityEffectively apply continuous improvement methods to quality and manufacturing functions (e.g. pull systems, processmapping, JIT)Knowledge of data structures and database programmingAbility to work effectively with CAD/CAM systems or other computer aided manufacturing systems, in addition tostandard business application software and/ or specialized data analysis toolsAbility to use existing procedures to solve problemsAbility to read and understand engineering drawings and specificationsWorking knowledge of geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T)Ability to research and analyze data effectively and draw valid conclusionsStrong verbal and written communication skillsWell-organized, detail-oriented, and ability to multi-taskStrong computer skills, including Microsoft Office and web-browsersParker HannifinParker Hannifin is a Fortune 250 global leader in motion and control technologies.
