Hands-on Electrical Engineer

Job Description DFI is seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer (Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, 5+ years of experience) to design and develop our own custom process equipment, enhance our existing process equipment while supporting our operations, maintenance and manufacturing teams.

The ideal candidate will have:

hands-on experience in equipment design & development (electrical, mechanical, pneumatics), includes control panel design/development (wiring as needed), controls devices sizing/selections and use (sensors, safety relays, circuit protection, etc.) effective communication skills strong problem-solving abilities strong organizational skills strong task management skills Specific needs: PLC programming

• full program development, editing, debugging (AB, Siemens, Automation Direct) HMI programming Drives
• VFDs and small servos CAD
• electrical schematic design/development, circuit layouts, mechanical components design Technical writing Facilities electrical knowledge Knowledge in machine safety design Preferred experience: Rotobics SCADA You will have the freedom to be creative in your designs and collaborate openly across all DFI departments.
