Job Description

VENTEON and Harvard Resource Solutions are hiring an Electrical Engineer experienced in the Construction Industry to work part time. You will provide program support for a manufacturer of prefabricated residential homes.
POSITION TYPE
Open-end contract. Part Time. Onsite.
PAY:
$50.00 to $65.00 per hour based on education and skill level. Requirements of the
Construction Electrical Engineer:
Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or a related field preferred. Minimum 3-5 years of experience in residential or commercial construction projects (required). Strong understanding of electrical distribution systems, panel design, and circuiting. Experience with energy systems, including solar PV and energy-efficient design strategies. Familiarity with energy codes and certification requirements is an asset. Ability to produce clear and detailed construction documentation. Effective communication and coordination skills, with experience working across disciplines. Revit proficiency required. Duties of the
Construction Electrical Engineer:
Design main electrical service and distribution systems, including panel schedules, circuiting, and load calculations for residential and/or commercial projects. Prepare detailed electrical drawings and specifications for construction. Develop lighting power layouts and coordinate with lighting plans and interior design teams. Plan low-voltage infrastructure, including data, controls, and smart home systems. Coordinate electrical requirements for mechanical equipment, ensuring proper load allocation and system integration. Support energy modeling efforts, including solar PV system coordination and sizing, and contribute to overall building energy strategies.
Code Compliance & Utility Coordination:
Ensure designs meet applicable electrical codes and coordinate with local utilities and authorities.
