Electrical Project Engineer

We are looking for a Project Engineer to support large-scale commercial electrical construction projects within a commercial electrical contractor environment focused on healthcare, institutional, and complex commercial work. This role operates as a hands-on project support position working directly with Project Managers, field teams, BIM, estimating, and general contractors to keep projects moving through all phases of execution. The position is designed for someone with commercial electrical construction exposure who understands project coordination, takeoffs, schedules, and field operations, and is looking to continue growing within electrical project management. This role is critical to supporting active projects and helping maintain execution across a growing backlog of work. Responsibilities Support Project Managers with day-to-day execution of commercial electrical construction projects Coordinate RFIs, submittals, project documentation, schedules, and procurement tracking throughout active projects Assist with takeoffs, estimating coordination, change orders, and project setup activities Interface with field electricians, foremen, general contractors, vendors, and internal teams to support project flow Review electrical drawings, specifications, and project documents to ensure scope alignment and field readiness Work closely with BIM and field teams to help translate project plans into executable work in the field Track project milestones, material deliveries, and schedule updates across assigned projects Help maintain accurate project reporting within ERP and project management systems Participate in project meetings, jobsite coordination, and internal planning discussions Support profitability, quality control, and timeline management across active electrical projects Qualifications 2+ years of experience supporting commercial electrical construction projects preferred Experience working for a commercial electrical contractor strongly preferred Familiarity with commercial construction project coordination, schedules, RFIs, submittals, and change orders Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings, blueprints, and construction specifications Exposure to healthcare, institutional, university, lab, or large commercial electrical projects is a strong plus Familiarity with Bluebeam, AcuBid, ERP systems, or related construction software preferred Strong communication and organizational skills within a fast-paced construction environment Must have commercial electrical construction exposure; residential-only backgrounds will not be sufficient Candidates with only field electrician experience and no project coordination exposure may not be the right fit for this role Must be comfortable working onsite and supporting active construction projects in-market

Pay:

$65,000.00 - $89,000.00 per year
