Job Title:
Electrical Engineer Job Description Under the guidance of the Electrical Engineering Design Supervisor, the Electrical Engineer will engage in diverse engineering tasks within a dynamic custom manufacturing environment. The role involves researching, designing, developing, and planning components for electromechanical and electronic control systems for commercial and industrial refrigeration products. The engineer will collaborate across departments and with customers to develop industry-leading products alongside our skilled production team. Responsibilities Design electrical control systems, generating and modifying electrical schematics and panel layouts. Assemble bills of material and develop installation and operation instructions for control systems. Specify components for products and systems used in commercial and industrial refrigeration and electrical power distribution. Research and analyze data such as customer design proposals, specifications, and manuals to determine design feasibility. Communicate with the sales organization and customers about product and system design, performance, and specifications. Coordinate with onsite manufacturing personnel to ensure conformity to engineering design and customer specifications. Develop production documentation and drawings using SolidWorks Electrical. Coordinate efforts to maintain compliance with agencies such as ETL, UL, and NEC. Respond to field service issues by providing solutions and support as needed. Essential Skills Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering. 0-3 years of relevant experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment. Experience with electrical panel layout, schematic design, ladder logic programming, and system testing and troubleshooting preferred. Proficiency in using Electrical CAD/SolidWorks Electrical. Familiarity with UL and NEC standards. Understanding of electrical power distribution principles and design. Ability to communicate effectively with internal and external customers. Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and ERP software. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience in PLC programming and VFDs for motor control is advantageous. Work Environment The position is set in an office environment with a collaborative atmosphere. The role involves working in a desk setting with manufacturing facilities onsite. Job Type & Location This is a Permanent position based out of Anoka, MN. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $70000.00 - $100000.00/yr.
