Konik is partnering with a highly specialized technology manufacturer seeking a Senior Digital Electronics Design Engineer to lead a small, high-performing engineering team while remaining hands-on in the design and development of advanced electronic systems.
This role combines technical leadership, hands-on design, and cross-functional collaboration, supporting the development of complex mixed-signal control and data acquisition systems used in advanced manufacturing and scientific applications.

Responsibilities
Lead and mentor a small team (5-7) of electronics design engineers and technicians
Design, prototype, test, and support mixed-signal electronic control systems
Translate system-level requirements into detailed engineering specifications, timelines, and cost estimates
Oversee project planning, resource allocation, and execution across multiple initiatives
Partner with contract manufacturing vendors to ensure design for manufacturability and production success
Collaborate cross-functionally with software, systems, and manufacturing teams on system integration and testing
Support continuous improvement of existing electronics platforms, focusing on performance and reliability
Contribute to long-term engineering strategy and annual planning efforts
Maintain technical leadership through ongoing learning and application of emerging technologies
Qualifications
12+ years of experience in mixed-signal electronics design within complex hardware/software systems
Strong background in control systems and data acquisition/processing
Experience with analog circuit design, including low-noise and medium-to-high voltage applications
Proficiency with modern electronic design tools (schematic capture, PCB layout, simulation, firmware development)
Experience with embedded systems and microcontrollers (Python, C, or similar)
Demonstrated leadership experience managing or mentoring engineering teams
Strong project leadership skills, including planning, estimating, and risk management
Experience working with contract manufacturers and understanding of design for manufacturability
