Job Description

Electrical Engineer About the Company We are a well-established and growing engineering firm looking to add an experienced Electrical Engineer to our team. Position Summary We are seeking a skilled Electrical Engineer to design, develop, test, and oversee electrical systems and components. This role involves working cross-functionally with project managers, mechanical engineers, and field teams to deliver high-quality solutions on time and within budget. Responsibilities
  • Design electrical systems, circuits, and components for new and existing projects
  • Develop electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, panel layouts, and single-line drawings
  • Perform power distribution analysis, load calculations, and equipment sizing
  • Select and specify electrical equipment including transformers, switchgear, motors, drives, PLCs, and control panels
  • Program and troubleshoot PLCs, HMIs, and control systems
  • Conduct site visits for field verification, commissioning, and troubleshooting
  • Collaborate with mechanical, structural, and process engineering teams
  • Review and approve contractor submittals and shop drawings
  • Ensure all designs comply with NEC, NFPA, IEEE, and local electrical codes
  • Prepare project documentation including specifications, BOMs, and test procedures
  • Support project estimation by providing electrical scope and material takeoffs
  • Mentor junior engineers and technicians as needed Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
  • 3+ years of experience in electrical engineering (industrial, commercial, or manufacturing preferred)
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, or similar design software
  • Working knowledge of
NEC, NFPA
70E, and relevant IEEE standards
  • Experience with power distribution, motor controls, and instrumentation
  • Familiarity with PLC programming (Allen Bradley, Siemens, or similar)
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines
  • PE license preferred but not required
  • EIT certification is a plus Compensation and Benefits
