Job Description

Position Overview We are seeking an experienced P&C engineer to contribute to the design and implementation of substation projects. The position is primarily remote and open to candidates across the United States. Key Responsibilities Perform design tasks for protection and control systems, including single-line and three-line diagrams, AC/DC power distribution, and related documentation. Develop schematics, wiring diagrams, equipment layouts, and integrate SCADA systems. Prepare technical specifications and assist with engineering studies. Conduct quality reviews and support process improvements to ensure compliance with industry standards. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver safe, efficient, and cost-effective designs. Participate in client meetings and provide technical support during construction and commissioning phases. Assist with field inspections, compliance documentation, and factory acceptance testing. Engage in knowledge sharing and mentoring activities as appropriate. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited institution. 3-7 years of experience in protection and control design for substations. Working knowledge of applicable codes and standards (e.g., NESC, IEEE, ANSI). Proficiency in CAD tools such as AutoCAD or MicroStation. Familiarity with relay configuration software (e.g., SEL AcSELerator, ETAP, SKM, ASPEN) is advantageous. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal. E.I.T. certification preferred; P.E. license is a plus. Ability to travel occasionally for site visits and client engagements.
