Controls Engineer Controls Systems Engineer Salary:
$90,000•$115,000Location:
Fenton, MO Founded in 1964 , we are a privately held industrial manufacturing organization with approximately 200 to 400 employees nationwide, with the majority of our workforce•roughly 200+ employees•based at our Fenton, Missouri headquarters and manufacturing campus. We design, engineer, and manufacture high-quality flow control, valve, and safety-critical components used in complex industrial applications across gas, air, and liquid systems. Our Fenton location serves as our engineering, manufacturing, testing, and operational hub , supporting everything from new product development and custom-engineered solutions to high-volume production. This facility plays a critical role in developing control solutions that meet demanding performance, safety, and regulatory standards. We serve customers across industries including compressed air, automotive systems, fire protection, specialty gas, medical systems, fluid power, pressure washing equipment, and agricultural and food and beverage applications . Our products are often embedded into our customers end systems, making reliability, precision, and controls performance essential. As a Controls Systems Engineer, you will design, develop, and support control systems that ensure our products and manufacturing processes operate safely, efficiently, and reliably from concept through production. Key Responsibilities Design, program, and support PLC•and controller-based systems used in manufacturing, testing, and validation environments. Develop control architectures, electrical schematics, and system documentation to support new and existing products. Partner closely with mechanical engineering, manufacturing, quality, and operations teams to integrate controls into production processes. Troubleshoot electrical and controls-related issues on the manufacturing floor to minimize downtime and improve system performance. Support continuous improvement initiatives by upgrading automation, controls strategies, and data collection capabilities. Required and Preferred Skills and Experience Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering, Controls Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related discipline. Hands-on experience with PLCs, HMIs, sensors, and industrial control systems in a manufacturing environment. Strong understanding of control theory, electrical systems, and industrial automation standards. Experience supporting production equipment, test stands, or automated assembly systems.Nice to have:
experience with valve systems, fluid control applications, or highly regulated manufacturing environments.
