Full-time Controls Engineer Overview:

StreamTech Engineering is a successful, growing, 18-year business with 1) patented proprietary products and software, 2) material handling industry expertise, and 3) a foundation of existing repeat customers. StreamTech is looking for a talented, experienced Controls engineering experience who can work on multiple projects simultaneously and communicating well with Project Managers and other team members. Responsibilities Able to develop and program ladder logic PLC programming using Allen Bradley's ControlLogix or CompactLogix. Maintain effective communication channels among all team members, clients and stakeholders, both written and verbal. Communication skills are key to success as a Controls Engineer. Encourage a positive team environment including open communication and feedback. Facilitate meetings, workshops, and brainstorming sessions to gather input and make informed decisions. Stay fully utilized; manage multiple tasks with strong prioritization skills Able to balance multiple projects and prevent scope creep Continuously seek opportunities for process improvement and optimization. Demonstrate strong leadership skills, including the ability to make decisions, prioritize tasks, and work well as a team member of project teams. Adhere to organizational policies, procedures, and ethical standards in project management activities. Learn about existing StreamTech systems and techniques to create supportable systems and help support existing customersQualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical engineering, Electrical Engineering or other engineering discipline (required). 5+ years of experience withPLC & HMI
- driven mechanical equipment projects PLC programming abilities, including Allen Bradley's ControlLogix or CompactLogix.

Takes ownership of assigned projects Assist with development and review of Functional Specifications (FSD) Proactively familiarizes self with project scope, budget, and timeline Controls system design for function, performance, and safety Onsite commissioning and training at Customer site Demonstrate system performance requirements as defined in FSD Manage the communication and coordination between StreamTech's in-house and customer as needed. Cross Train with Automation Technicians and Project Engineers Participate in StreamTech technical system support and troubleshooting Student of material handling and automation industry: devotes time to industry magazines, researches new technologies, e-newsletters, trade shows. Travel will account for up to 50% of the time General Requirements (All Employees): Professional demeanor that reflects well on you and the company at all times Actively promote StreamTech in professional social media and participate in development of case studies and contribution of content (e.g. blog posts) to websites. Follows approved company processes and good practice.
