Job Description

Electrical Engineer - Capital Projects (Instrumentation, Controls & Electrical) -Must live in greater Tuscaloosa, Dallas, Joplin, Phillipsburg or Frederick
Position Overview:
An established engineering and manufacturinganization is seeking a skilled and experienced Electrical/Controls Engineer to support equipment design and system integration forplex production environments. The ideal candidate is a motivated problem solver who can identify practical solutions to technical challenges, contribute to new equipment builds, and ensure smooth system installation and performance.
Key Responsibilities:
To perform this role successfully, an individual must be able to fulfill each essential function effectively. Integrate electrical systems into the design and development of new equipment. Research and select electricalponents and field devices for manufacturing and production systems. Oversee the manufacturing and installation of electrical systems and hardware. Inspect facilities and installations to assess system quality and operational efficiency. Design testing procedures to validate system performance and functionality. Ensure new systems andponents meet regulatory standards and customer requirements. Innovate and enhance manufacturing and assembly processes through research and testing. Collect and analyze technical data to support project reporting and decision-making. Facilitatemunication between engineering, production, and support teams for project success. Troubleshoot and resolve unforeseen design or implementation issues. Maintain accurate databases of equipment,ponents, and system documentation. Train and supervise technicians in project and equipment execution. Stay current with industry developments through continued education, networking, and professional involvement. Review relevant publications to monitor advancements in electrical engineering. Travel up to 30% may be required for on-site installations and inspections.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a closely related field. Experience in an electrical engineering or controls-focused role. Proficiency in AutoCAD or similar CAD software. Hands-on experience in PLC programming, specifically Siemens TIA Portal and Step 7. Familiarity with Siemens hardware including: 300 and 1500 series PLCs Remote I/O Systems Safety I/O S120 & G120 Drive Systems Ability to develop andmunicate technical documentation clearly and effectively. In-depth understanding of electricalponents, systems, and materials. Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities. Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonalmunication skills. Strong presentation and team collaboration skills. Detail-oriented with amitment to quality and precision. Kledge of industrialmunication protocols such as HART, PROFINET, PROFIBUS, and others. Physical Requirements:

Must be able tomunicate effectively with team members and external partners. Must be capable of sitting or standing for extended periods and navigating production areas. Must be able to access and inspect production equipment, which may involve climbing, kneeling, or stooping. Regularly required to lift up to 25 lbs; occasionally may lift up to 50 lbs. Will work in environments w t is exposure to moving machinery, elevated workspaces, dust, fumes, chemicals, heat, electrical systems, and loud noise.
