Travel Requirements:
Approximately 30% (primarily office-based) Our team is looking for a skilled Controls Engineer specialized in Automated Guided Vehicle (AGV) technology to assist in developing, deploying, and launching sophisticated material handling systems. This position balances technical design work with direct client engagement and system integration, requiring a blend of office-based development and on-site project execution. Core Duties Develop, code, and deploy AGV solutions for various industrial environments Facilitate the integration, validation, and on-site commissioning of systems for our clients Deliver technical guidance, resolve system issues, and perform necessary modifications Work alongside multidisciplinary groups to ensure project milestones and goals are achieved Educate clients and staff members on operational procedures and optimal system usage Keep precise records, including technical manuals, status reports, and system revisions Help maintain a safe working environment for the entire team by following all safety protocols and improvement processes Required Background Minimum of 5 years working within the industrial automation sector Practical knowledge of PLC coding and structured text, with a preference for Codesys Direct experience working with AGV platforms Comprehensive knowledge of electrical infrastructure, specifically 480V, control systems, and mobile machinery Proven ability to diagnose, program, and unify intricate automated systems Proficiency in CAD design is considered an asset Excellent interpersonal abilities to effectively manage direct customer relationships Ideal Candidate Profile Proactive individual capable of operating autonomously or within a collaborative group Strong analytical and logical reasoning capabilities Capable of thriving in a dynamic, project-oriented setting Willingness to travel for work up to 30% of the time Technical Proficiencies PLC Troubleshooting Skills Industrial and Manufacturing Engineering Troubleshooting Skills CAD Software PLC Programming Experience Primary Technologies Automated Guided Vehicles (AGVs) CAD Software Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) (Allen Bradley) Industrial Robot
