Position Summary:
Rowan-Cabarrus Community College is looking for a full-time instructor to join our rapidly growing Electrical Systems Technology area of study. Our instructors will lead students through all facets of the ELC program, including AC/DC theory, wiring, and industrial motor controls to prepare students for technical careers. This is a 9-month faculty position reporting directly to the Lead ELC Instructor and the Program Chair of Construction Technology.
Required Education/Experience:
AAS Degree or higher in Electrical Systems Technology or related AAS Degree or higher (AHR, ELN, or ELC Engineering) with Min of 14 SHC in ELC from accredited college or university Five (5) years of documented field experience as an electrician, journeyman electrician or maintenance electrician employed in a full-time electrical maintenance department.
Preferred Education/Experience/Skills:
Minimum seven (7) years of documented residential and/or commercial/industrial installation and/or electrical maintenance experience. North Carolina Limited or higher electrical contractor license is highly desired.• An electrical contractor's license from another state that will reciprocate to North Carolina will be considered.
