About the role:
As a member of the Ampere Circuit Team, you will contribute to the design of high-performance memory arrays—from initial concept through hardware validation. You will work on transistor-level design for SRAM arrays/caches, register files, and/or custom standard cells. You will also collaborate with cross-functional teams including logic, DFT, and PD to translate system requirements into robust, manufacturable designs. What you'll achieve: Develop schematic and layout designs for advanced memory arrays Conduct bitcell analysis to ensure robust performance Analyze and balance area, power, and performance trade-offs in array design Perform EMIR analysis to assess signal integrity and power grid robustness Execute equivalence checking between SPICE and behavioral models Carry out circuit robustness checks and timing model generation/verification Hardware validation efforts to bring designs from simulation to silicon About you: Good understanding of VLSI circuits, design methodology, and device/electrical fundamentals Experience using EDA tool flows for simulation, verification, and characterization Familiarity with design-for-test (DFT) concepts and their impact on circuit design Ability to work independently on defined deliverables while also collaborating effectively with other teams Ability to program in Python, Perl, or TCL Electrical or Computer Engineering - Bachelor's degree & 5 years of related experience; or MS degree & 3 years; or PhD & no prior experience What we'll offer: At Ampere we believe in taking care of our employees and providing a competitive total rewards package that includes base pay, cash long-term incentive, and comprehensive benefits.
