Job Description

job summary: Our client, a leader in the a leader in the design and manufacturing of thermal process equipment, is looking for an experienced Senior Electrical Engineer. Key qualifications include, 6+ years of industrial hardware design experience with a background in power circuits and component specification. A bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering is required for this role.

Pineville, North Carolina job type: Permanent salary: $90,000 - 110,000 per year work hours: 8am to 5pm education: Bachelors responsibilities:
End-to-End Design:
Own the electrical hardware design of industrial equipment, including power distribution (AC 120V-600V and
DC 24V-60V
), wiring, enclosures, and component selection.
Schematics & Compliance:
Use EPLAN to develop schematics, cable routing, and layouts that meet NEC, UL, and CE requirements (UL508-A, NFPA 70, NFPA 79, NFPA 86, ISO 13849).
Documentation Management:
Document and manage supporting materials like BOMs, terminal layouts, grounding plans, and vendor specifications to ensure a quality handoff to electricians and compliance with safety standards.
Cross-Functional Integration:
Work closely with mechanical and manufacturing engineers to integrate electrical systems into machines, and support builds with shop-floor testing, troubleshooting, and problem resolution.
Component Validation:
Specify and validate electrical components (motors, relays, breakers, power cables, etc.) for reliability while continually improving documentation and engineering processes.
