Job Description

A multidisciplinary engineering and consulting firm with decades of experience is seeking a skilled Electrical Engineer to join its Raleigh, NC office. The firm serves clients across industrial, municipal, and commercial sectors, delivering innovative and reliable engineering solutions.
Position Summary:
This role involves leading the design and development of electrical systems for a variety of facility types, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and ensuring compliance with industry standards. A PE license is preferred.
Key Responsibilities:
Design and specify electrical systems including power distribution, lighting, and controls. Develop construction documents and technical specifications. Perform system calculations and analysis (e.g., load studies, fault current analysis). Coordinate with clients, architects, and other engineering disciplines. Conduct field investigations and site assessments. Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior staff. Manage project timelines, budgets, and deliverables. Ensure compliance with NEC, NFPA, and other applicable codes.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering. 5+ years of experience in electrical design for facilities or infrastructure projects. PE license preferred or ability to obtain within a year. Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and electrical analysis tools. Strong communication and project management skills. Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
