Job Title:
Controls Systems Engineer (electrical or Mechanical engineering degree needed) Job Description We are seeking a Junior Controls Systems Engineer with recent experience in MATLAB, Simulink, and Simscape to develop and test electrification control solutions. Recent graduates are welcome, and academic experience is highly valued. Candidates must demonstrate learning agility, system understanding, and a keen interest in long-term growth. Responsibilities Develop electrification control solutions using model-based design. Build and validate electrical and mechanical system models in Simulink and Simscape. Evaluate control designs through simulation, Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL), lab, and field testing. Define control requirements and perform vehicle system simulations. Essential Skills Proficiency in MATLAB, Simulink, and Simscape. Experience in system modeling (electrical/mechanical). Understanding of controls and electrical principles. 1+ years of academic or industry experience in power electronics or control algorithms. Effective communication skills and strong learning agility. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience with lab or vehicle testing involving power electronics or motors. Knowledge of Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL) testing, auto-code generation, and embedded software. Familiarity with version control and Agile methodologies. Understanding of advanced controls such as observers, MPC, and filters. Knowledge of power electronics or motor control. Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Physics Engineering preferred. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $43.00 - $45.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
