Job Description

About the Role Packet Digital is looking for a Hardware Engineering Intern who is excited to learn how real-world electronics are designed, built, and tested. In this role, you'll work alongside experienced hardware engineers on cutting-edge technology used in drones, satellites, and other advanced systems . This internship offers hands-on exposure to the full hardware development lifecycle and is ideal for students or early-career engineers eager to apply classroom knowledge to real projects. What You'll Do With mentorship and support from our engineering team, you will: Assist with circuit design, research, and basic simulations Help create and review schematics and PCB layouts Support prototype assembly, testing, and troubleshooting Use lab tools such as oscilloscopes, power supplies, and signal generators Participate in design reviews and team meetings Learn best practices for documentation, design updates, and production support Work collaboratively in a fast-paced engineering environment
What We're Looking For Required:
Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field Basic understanding of electronics and circuit theory Interest in hardware design and embedded systems Strong curiosity, problem-solving skills, and attention to detail Ability to communicate and work well in a team setting Nice to Have (Not Required): Coursework or project experience with microcontrollers Exposure to PCB design tools Familiarity with communication protocols (USB, CAN, Serial) Interest in power systems, batteries, aerospace, or unmanned systems Why Packet Digital?
