Job Summary We are seeking an experienced HVAC Controls System Leader for a contract opportunity in Fargo, ND. This role is ideal for a senior building automation and HVAC controls professional who enjoys leading technical teams, solving complex controls challenges, and supporting high-quality project delivery across commercial construction environments. The HVAC Controls System Leader will guide a team of Controls Systems Engineers and Controls Systems Designers responsible for hardware engineering, software engineering, systems integration, and network-level commissioning for building automation projects. This position offers the opportunity to serve as a regional technical subject matter expert while partnering with project leaders, installation teams, customers, consulting engineers, and internal stakeholders. Key Responsibilities Lead, supervise, mentor, and develop Controls Systems Engineers and Controls Systems Designers while managing workload, schedules, priorities, and resource planning. Coordinate engineering deliverables for HVAC controls and building automation projects, including hardware engineering, software engineering, systems integration, and network commissioning. Provide technical leadership for complex application engineering issues, controller and end-device selection, advanced controls solutions, and project implementation challenges. Support project planning through engineering schedule forecasts, cost estimates, pre-bid input, release-to-engineering reviews, and project delivery re-estimates. Partner with Project Owners, HVAC Installation Managers, Systems Team Leaders, customers, consulting engineers, and architects to ensure successful project execution. Promote engineering quality, regulatory compliance, safety standards, accurate reporting, and continuous improvement across tools, processes, and project delivery methods. Pay rate:
